isn't she cute? We love this girl to pieces, even though she likes to scream at the top of her lungs!

Change is good right?
So lastnight was the Stake Meeting for boundary realignments and the creation of a new ward, and sure enough we were sent to a new ward. I have had a feeling since they announced that the split was going to happen that we were going to be a part of it.
I just want to tell all of you that read my blog that are in the 1st ward that I am so thankful for the opportunity that I have had to be a part of the 1st ward and for the friendships that I have made from being a part of the ward. I will miss seeing all of you at church each week.
I am grateful for the opportunity that I have had to serve in the Young Women organization. We have wonderful Young women! I love those girls so much and am going to miss them terribly.
The adventure begins. It will be hard going the first few times not knowing most of the ward, but I am really excited to get to know the other members of the 10th ward and to await a calling!
I will miss you Iona 1St ward!

Walk with Christ

Day 13
Julie B. Beck stated: "Whichever way a person starts studying the scriptures, the key to unlocking important knowledge is to keep studying. The scriptures testify of Christ. They tells us all things we should do. They make us wise unto salvation.
"The holy scriptures adorn our bookshelves. Make certain they provide nourishment to our minds and guidance for our lives."
Today, determine how you would like to study the scriptures, then make a plan as to when you will study. Follow this pattern to keep learning of Christ.

Walk with Christ

Day 12
Jesus was a compassionate forgiving man. Read Matthew 18:24-35 & Luke 23:34
Today, think of someone that may be seeking forgiveness from you. Often times, we find that we are offended when the person did not mean to offend us. When we choose to hold the grudge, we are the ones who end up hurting. Choose to forgive this person. Take time to let them know that you forgive them by talking with them, phoning them, or writing a letter. Sometimes just even forgiving them and letting it go without a discussion will help you to heal.

Walk with Christ

Day 11
Christ was often found in service. He healed the sick, preached the gospel to all who would listen, he raised the dead.
We too should be found in the service of our fellow beings. Can you think of someone who may need something you have to offer? A meal, time to talk, help in the house or yard. Take time today to serve someone.

Day 10
Read the story of Martha in Luke 10:38-42
Often times when we think of this story we think of how Mary chose to listen to the words of Christ and Martha chose to labor. Someone must labor and this was Martha's talent. She was burdened down this day and tired and asked the Lord, "dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?" How often do we feel unappreciated? How often do we let others feel that way? Take time today to send a note to someone thanking them for a service rendered to you.

Walk with Christ

Day 8
Read John 10:1-18
Do you know Christ's voice? When you pray do you stop to listen? Today take time to heed the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Act on those little impressions that you think will not make a difference. A phone call to a friend, a smile to an unfriendly face, all those things can make a difference.
Making a Difference
from "Walking the Talk Together:
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a figure in the distance. As he got close, he realizsed the figure was that of a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Aproaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?" the youth replied, "throwing starfish in the ocean. The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die." "Son" the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish> You can't possibly make a difference!"
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said, "I made a difference for that one."

Walk with Christ

Day 7
Read John 4:1-42
Prepare to receive a learning moment. Not in the big things that happen, but in the small everyday things in life. Often our greatest treasures are found where we least expect it. Try to discover in every hour a Heavenly blessing.
Quote by Henry Ward Beecher:
If one should give me a dish of sand, and tell me there were particles of iron in it, I might look for them with my eyes, and search for them with my clumsy fingers, and be unable to detect them; but let me take a magnet and sweep through it, and it would draw to itself the almost invisible particles, by the mere power of attraction. The unthankful heart, like my finger in the sand, discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day, and as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find in every hour some heavenly blessings; only the iron in God's sand is gold.

Day 6
Read John 9:1-38
Attempt to analyze through different eyes a situation that has been troubling you. Pray that the Savior will touch your eyes so that you will see what you need to do differently. Now take some time to write down some of the good things that have come to you through Christ. What blessings do you have?

Day 5
Elder L. Tom Perry stated: It is not enough to behave reverently; we must feel it in our hearts reverence for our Heavenly Father and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Reverence flows from our admiration and respect for Deity. It is something we feel inside our hearts no matter what is going on around us. It is also a personal responsibility.

Walk with Christ

Day 4
Read Matthew 6:1-13
Are you Praying to Him? The best way to get to know Him, is to talk with Him!
The Difference
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task. "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me. He said, "but you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently and lovingly chided, "my child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day; I had so much to accomplish that day that I had to take time to pray.
Take time today to get down on your knees and offer up a sincere, heartfelt prayer to your Heavenly Father. He is there willing to listen, no matter what happened in our day.

Walk with Christ
Yesterday I was going through the Young Women lesson manual before church and found this envelope with the title "Walk with Christ" Our Young Women President handed this out to our Young Women at the first of the year for our Missionary Activity that we had. I decided as I was reading it that I wanted to try and live closer to my Savior and follow this things for the next two weeks. I hope you don't mind that I am sharing them with all of you. Hopefully I will remember to post each day for all of you to read and help you draw closer to our Savior.
Day 1
Read about Christ's Birth in Luke 2.
Do I know that my Heavenly Father loves me? How do I know this is true? Do I know that I am his daughter? Do I know that I lived with Him before I came here? Because of His love for me, He sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Walk Tall, you're a daughter of God
Right now I have a prayer deep within my heart, A prayer for each of you there is a special part that you remember who you are and He who lives above. Please seek for Him and live His way: You'll feel His love. Walk tall, you're a daughter, a child of God.
Be strong- please remember who you are. Try to understand, you're part of His Great plan. He's closer than you know- reach up, He'll take your hand.
Long before the time you can remember. Our Father held you in His arms so tender. Those loving arms released you as he sent you down to earth. He said, My child. I love you. Don't forget your great worth. Walk tall, you're a daughter, a child of God.
Be strong- please remember who you are. Try to understand, you're part of His great plan. He's closer than you know-reach up, He'll take your hand.
This life on earth we knew would not be easy. At times we lose our way- His path we may not see. But please remember-always please-that you are not alone. He'll take your hand. He loves you! He will guide you home. Walk tall, you're a daughter, a child of God.
Be strong-please remember who you are. Try to understand, you're part of his great plan. He's closer than you know-reach up, He'll take your hand.
Jamie Glen.
Today, walk tall and try to remember who you are.
Day 2
Matthew 3:13-17
13. Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14. But John forbade him ,saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15. And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him:
17. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Christ was baptized to be an example. Today, remember people are watching you. Old and young, learned and unlearned. Today, lead a life that is an example of Christ.
Live so that those who know you, but don't know Him; will want to know Him, because they know you.
