Feeling sad

I got released from my calling as the Young Women Secretary yesterday. I have really struggled with the idea of being released since the Bishop called me in to tell me that they were going to release me.
I have really enjoyed being in the Young Women program and getting to know the girls that are in my ward.
I am feeling really sad because I feel like Young Women is all I know, I have had a calling in the Young Women Program since before Jacey was born (she will be 8 this year).
I am really afraid of what the new calling is going to be, I really don't want to be a primary teacher, but if that is where they need me then that is where I will be. I am really hoping that they are going to let me be an adult for a while. It has been a long time since I have been in Relief Society, and I am thinking that is where I would really like to be able to spend some time.

Last Night was our ward rollerskating party, who knew Jena would have so much fun skating. I think she had the most fun of everyone!

Visiting family was just what I needed!

We decided spur of the moment to make a trip down to Utah over the weekend. We were able to visit with my parents and a couple of my siblings and their kids on Saturday, and we were able to visit with Joe's parents and his siblings on Sunday. This was just the medicine that I needed to cure some of the winter blues I have been feeling for the last few weeks. Now hopefully this will be enough to keep my spirits lifted while Joe is off traveling most of the month of February.

Words of Advice from my two year old

As I was walking out the door to go pick Joe up from the airport Jena says: " Bye Mom Be Good!" I had a good chuckle!

excitement at our house

Today's excitement:
Joshua decided to brush the dog while the dog was eating, the result: a trip to the doctors office at 8 am to have a tetanus shot,a $40 copay plus $ 40 worth of antibiotics 7 days of an oral antibiotic twice daily and 7 days worth of a topical antibiotic applied 3 times daily!
Lesson learned: Never brush the dog while he is eating, at least I hope that was the lesson that he learned!

I am in mourning

I am mourning the loss of my Ipod Touch. It decided to die last night. It completely shut off and won't turn back on even after being on the charger all night.
It is on it's way to The Radio Shacks repair center in Fort Worth Texas. It's going to be a long 7 to 10 business days.
Dear Ipod Touch I will miss you while you are away, please don't forget about me

Pictures from Christmas

I Didn't get many pictures taken on Christmas, but here is what I have. I was having too much fun watching the kids open gifts to remember to take pictures!

The Present that you can see on the ledge is one that Santa forgot to deliver on Christmas Eve. The Kids had just gone down stairs to see what Santa had left for them when the doorbell rang. It scared them so bad they all came running up the stair to tell us that the doorbell rang. (the present showed up at 7:00 am) It was the Kinect for the XBOX 360 that they have been asking for. I has been played pretty much non stop since Christmas Day. I guess it was well worth the wait!

Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
Our Thanksgiving weekend started different than it was supposed to, We went to my Brother Roger and his wife Kelly's cabin in Island Park, the plan was for them to head to the cabin on Tuesday evening and we were going to meet them on Wednesday afternoon. Plans had to change because Idaho got hit with a huge blizzard on Tuesday and most of the roads were closed, and the road to Island Park didn't open up until late Wednesday afternoon. So they met us at our house Thanksgiving and we headed up to the cabin.

We had so much fun with them over the weekend, I'm ready to make this our new family tradition, but I don't think my parents, or Joe's parents would be very happy with us if we did!

We were able to enjoy an nice Thanksgiving feast, play the WII, watch movies, go into West Yellowstone and do some window shopping, a little snowmobiling and some sledding down the hill! Thanks Roger and Kelly for letting us come and spend the weekend with you, we all had a blast and can't wait to do it again!

I am Thankful For....

Since it is Thanksgiving I wanted to post some of the things that I am Thankful for!

I am Thankful for.....

A Loving Heavenly Father, who is aware of me and of my needs.

My Savior Jesus Christ and his willingness to atone for all our sins.

My husband and very best friend Joe, for how hard he works to provide for our family so that I can stay home with our children.

I am also thankful that he is a worthy Priesthood holder and that he honors his priesthood.

For my children and all the joy that they bring to me.

For my family and Joe's family and the love and joy that they bring into our lives.

For a home to live in.

For food to eat.

That Joe has a job.

For good health.

For doctors who are there when we need them.

For friends who are there when we need them!

These are just a few of the things that I am Thankful for.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Snow Much Fun!

This is how the kids are spending their Thanksgiving Break.

Oh yes and we survived the BLIZZARD of 2010, we had some crazy weather yesterday, snow and wind. I-15 north of Idaho Falls was closed, and they asked people to stay home and not go out unless they needed too.
Hopefully we will survive these frigidly cold temps. Current Temp in Iona Idaho 7 degrees!
