My Baby is 5!

This little girl has brought so much joy and laughter into our family, I don't know what we would do with out her.  I can't believe that she is 5!   It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital.

Being all domestic again!

My parents came and spent the last five days with us, it was so nice to see them, and I am always sad to see them go.

I really hope they enjoyed their time here, because I sure enjoyed having them here.

A new semester

Joe started school today, he is on his third semester back at ISU.  It's hard to have him gone so much, but it will be well worth it when he is finished!  I didn't take a back to school picture of him this time around. (I don't think he would have agreed to it)

Look who's Birthday it is!

Happy Birthday Josh!  Where does the time go?  I can't believe that he is 14, and going to high school in a couple of weeks.

Josh is a highlight in our family, he is smart, funny, and a really great brother to his sibling.  We are so proud of him!

On Sunday he will be ordained to the office of a Teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood.  we are so proud of you and the good choices that you are making!

Fun with Cousins!

My brother and Sister in Law and their  family came to visit over the weekend.  The kids love it when their cousins come to see them!

The highlight of the weekend was going to a car show and then out to Rigby Lake for some fun!

When it was time for the Cragun's to go home, my nephew Levi didn't want to go, he told his dad that he wanted to stay here because he has brother's at our house.  I love that !

our latest remodeling project

We are redoing our downstairs bathroom.  My oldest sister had new flooring put in her house about six years ago, and she gave us the tile that they took out of her house, so after six years sitting in the garage, it is now in the bathroom.  

I forgot to take before pictures, but here is a picture of the new vanity and counter top, we also painted the bathroom pebble gray, it looks so much better than the ugly peach color it was before!

We bought the vanity at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store, it was a really ugly oak color, so we went to the Home Depot and bought a cabinet restore kit that is made by Rustoleum, and a new counter top at Lowes.  

we also bought new handles and hinges to finish the look!  I think it turned out really nice, and it was a lot less expensive than buying a whole new vanity!

Cousin Fun

My sister went to girls camp for the week, so she brought her girls to say with our girls.  They really love to see them!

Jacey and Jena were really sad to see the girls go, they can't wait to see them again!

We have slowly been adding some beauty to our yard.  We added mulch to the front flower bed, and to where we planted our juniper bushes last summer, this is the latest project:

14 Arborvitae  trees along the chain link fence.  Not only will the provide shade, but they will also provide some much needed privacy!

Camping

Josh was away at scout camp all last week, having a good time without the rest of us.  Well Jena didn't want to miss out on the fun, so she asked if we could go camping as a family. We decided to go last Wednesday after Jake got of work.  (we weren't sure if we were going to be able to go because Tuesday evening we had a Crazy thunder and lightning and rain storm, and we thought it would be too wet to go, but Wednesday morning Jena was still insisting that we had to go camping!) It was a really short over night camp out at Twin bridges, but she had a blast! (Short because Jake had to be to work at noon on Thursday afternoon!)

My boy is growing up :(

Jake started his very first job this week.  He is working at McDonald's.  He seems pretty excited about it.  After working a few weeks he should have enough money saved up that he can take drivers Ed.  Driving  has been his dream for at least a year now.  His dad told him that he could continue to work as long as he kept his grades up, so come fall and back to school we will see if he can handle school and work, but in the mean time he is earning money which he loves!  They are training him on the register and when the drive thru is finished being remodeled he will train on it as well.

Happy Independence Day!

We spent most of the day at home, just having a relaxing day!

We did go over to Freeman Park for the fireworks show, but ended up coming home before the show started, someone drowned in the River, and the show ended up being delayed.  Jena had crashed and there was lightning, so we headed home.
