Here are some pictures from the kids first day of school! (Kind of Lame Pictures I know!) They all had a good first day!

Proud of my girl
one of the neighbor boys came over and wanted to play XBOX with the boys, but they were out of XBOX time, so the neighbor kept trying to talk Jacey into playing so that they could use her time. Well he just left and went home.
This is the conversation she and I had after he left: (I don't want to use his name because I don't know how his parents would feel about me using his name on the Internet, so I will call him so and so)
Jacey: "Mom so and so kept trying to talk me into playing XBOX with them"
Me: "Did you keep telling him no?"
Jacey: "yes"
Me: "good girl, don't ever let someone talk you into doing something that you don't want to do!"
I am so proud of her for sticking to her guns and saying no! I hope that this is a lesson that she will never forget!

Happy Birthday Josh!
Happy Birthday Josh! I can't believe that you are 11, where has the time gone?
This is what he wanted for his birthday! We also got him a book on how to play guitar. We asked him how he was going to learn how to play it and he said from the Internet. If he decides that he is really serious about learning to play then we will see about getting him some lessons. We are also thinking about buying him a DVD that teaches how to play the guitar .

This is what he wanted for breakfast! A giant pancake the size of his plate! He was really excited that I made it for him because I told him that I wasn't going to make a pancake that big!
We spent most of the day listening to him, his dad, and his brother trying to tune his new guitar!
I made him Cafe Rio Chicken Salad for dinner (he kept saying all through dinner "this is so good" I finally made something that he likes I guess) and then we went to Walmart so that he could spend his money that his Grandma Cragun sent him. He bought himself a clear Nerf gun (just what we needed at our house another Nerf gun), and then we watched the movie Shorts and ate his cake!

Arrow Of Light
Joshua is turning 11 on Saturday, so this was his very last pack meeting, here are the awards that he received last night:
Aquanaut
Artist
Communicator
Family member
HandyMan
Naturalist
Showman
Sportsman
World conservation
2 compass points
and a badge for earning all 20 weblos badges
Plus a couple of belt loops to add to the rest of his awards
And last but not least the most important award of all his ARROW OF LIGHT!
Good Job Josh on working so hard in Weblos this year. His scout leaders were very proud of him because he was able to earn all 20 awards in less than a year, our ward split last year and Josh didn't have any leaders for a few weeks maybe even a month or longer, so he had less than a year to complete all of the requirements.
I am very proud of Him for sticking with scouts, he had some problems with a bully earlier in the year and he wanted to quit all together, so I am very proud of him for sticking it out!
It is official
I now have a child in Middle School. We got Jakob all registered for his 7Th grade year!

2 Down 1 more to go!
I got Josh and Jacey all registered for school today, they are both really excited about who their teachers are going to be this year, and they are both really excited to start school on the 30Th! I must say that I am really excited for school to start too!
Jake registers for his first year of middle school on Thursday, he's not as excited about going back to school as his brother and sister are, and I must say I'm not really excited about Middle School either, (or the fees that go along with it) although I really can't wait for all of them to go back. It has been a fun but LOOOOONG summer!

Happy Independence Day!
The City of Idaho Falls Celebrated Independence Day on the Third of July this year, so here are some pictures of the Burger Families festivities!

We went to Freeman Park to watch fireworks, you have to go a few hours early to get a good place to sit and a good place to park so that when the fireworks are over you can get out of the park quickly and not have to wait for hours! (we have made the mistake of having a bad parking spot in years past)
This years before fireworks entertainment:

Giant Bubbles! The kids had so much fun with these, I think that they will become a tradition!
We also had the soccer ball, a Frisbee and Uno to play, and lots and lots of treats to eat!

Jena was totally in her element, she loves to be outside. She just ran and ran for hours yesterday. The poor girl wore herself out and only lasted about 5 minutes into the firework show before she fell asleep, but she had lots of fun doing it!

Oh and of course we can't forget the glow sticks for when it gets dark out!

Eclipse

I was fortunate enough to be invited to go with some friends down to Pocatello last night to see a pre-midnight screening of the movie Eclipse. (Loved the movie I think it is the best one so far!) I had such a good time! I'm so glad we didn't have to wait in the huge line for the midnight premier! ( if I wouldn't have had the opportunity to see it earlier in the evening, there is no way that I would have stood in line to see it at midnight)

AWESOME!
Awesome is Jena's new word of the week. It was just so darn cute how she says it that we had to make a video for all to see!
