Early Thanksgiving

We made a quick trip to Utah on Saturday to have an early Thanksgiving with the Burger Family.
 Thanks to Mandy for all of her hard work putting the dinner together.

It is always nice to spend time with family, and even though there may have been some disagreements, it doesn't mean that we don't love all of you and that we are trying to distance ourselves from you.  We enjoy spending time with all of you , and are glad that we are all a family.

Joe Said that we needed to buy them for Jena!  I guess he is tired of reading the same books to her every night!

Crazy Thunder and Lightening Storm

We had a crazy Thunder and Lightening Storm yesterday,  I got up around 1:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep.  The storm lasted until about 6:30 am.  We then had more off and on all day.  Here are some pictures of the sky.

First day of School, and I can't believe that my baby is in Kindergarten

Here are the first day of school pictures of every one except Jake, because he doesn't start school until tomorrow. (Freshman day at the High School, so they are the only one's required to attend).

I can't believe that my baby started Kindergarten today, I thought I was alright with her going, but I had a hard time holding back the tears when I dropped her off.  I asked her if she was going to miss me while she was at school, her response "No Mom"

We found a really good deal on a back splash for our kitchen, so here are a before and after of it!

After the back splash, we still need to grout and paint, but it looks so much better already!

This was yesterday and today's project, a new to us garage door. 

Our old garage door was a piece of junk, and has been since we moved in 7 years ago.

It was money well spent!

Next project on our list:

Fixing the power steering pump and pulley on Joe's car! It seems like every time a new semester starts Joe's car breaks down, seriously it is getting really old.  Until his car is fixed I am the taxi service. the first couple of days next week may prove very interesting with only one car and Joe and the kids all back in school, and him and Jakob both working,  hopefully even with Monday being a holiday the auto parts store can still get us the parts in 24 hours.

My Baby is 5!

This little girl has brought so much joy and laughter into our family, I don't know what we would do with out her.  I can't believe that she is 5!   It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital.
