Merry Christmas!

Here are a couple of pictures from the morning!  Jake worked until close on Christmas Eve, and Jena was bouncing off the walls we thought that she would never go to sleep so that Santa could come visit, but she did finally go to sleep.  They were all up by 6 am!

2013 Christmas Card

So here we are two days before Christmas and we didn't get Christmas cards sent out,  here is the one I made.  We are poor college students again, so this is the best we can do this year!  We hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

And some pictures of my beautiful girls, I would post some of my handsome boys as well, but they had to run off to church yesterday while I was taking pictures.

Grandma Cragun made these super cute skirts for the girls while she was visiting us last weekend.  Thanks Grandma, we love them!

Decorating the Gingerbread house

My parents came up over the weekend to help us celebrate Jake's 16th Birthday!  I tried to keep both of them busy while they were here!  I had mom make skirts for the girls (they turned out super cute!  Pictures to come later), and Dad and I made candy.  We made 2 pans of peanut brittle and a pan of toffee.

Saturday night we decorated our Gingerbread house!  Here are some pictures of the decorating fun!

You can see my peanut brittle in this picture!

I let the boys take the pictures while I was putting royal icing on the gingerbread house. Apparently it's more fun to take close up pictures of your brothers face than to take pictures of  the gingerbread house.

I cannot get this girl to not pull faces when I take her pictures, these pictures are gems!

Josh and his friend Cole trying to burn peanuts.  Teenage boys sheesh!
The finished product.

The girls had a ball decorating the house!

Happy 16th Jake!

16 years ago today I became a Mommy for the first time!  Where does the time go?  I  can remember bringing Jake home from the hospital like it was yesterday.

Jake has turned into a fine young man, we are so proud of him and are glad that he is a part of our family!

Today was a big day for him, not only did he turn 16, but he was also ordained a Priest in our Church.

Here are a couple of pictures of his Birthday Cake.  One of his very favorite movies is The Nightmare before Christmas,  he asked me to make his cake Jack the Pumpkin King from the movie.  I think it turned out pretty good!

Thanksgiving Weekend Fun!

We spent our Thanksgiving in Island Park again this year with Roger and Kelly.  We love being able to go to the cabin and spending time with them!

Here are some pictures of our time up there!

We went for a drive after Thanksgiving Dinner and  this is what we saw!  we also saw a mama moose and her baby, but couldn't get the camera out before they ran off.
