Sad Day at the Burger house

We got a visit from the Iona police man last night. He informed me that we are braking the law by having chickens. He told me that he got an anonymous complaint from one of our neighbors about the chickens, and we now have a week to be rid of them before they start documenting and ticketing us. Jacey was hysterical last night. She was so upset that she was throwing up, and Joshua is still crying about it today. We think we have a home lined up for them which is better than the alternative. That would be killing them and eating them for dinner. I don't think the kids would go along with that idea!

    They really want to keep the chickens, but what can we do we have to obey the law!

    That totally sucks! I wonder if they're gonna crack down on the others I can think of that have chickens. I'm sad for you guys. I would have thought it was okay too. Makes me wonder who complained...hmmm...
