Yesterday I had the opportunity to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah with the Young women in my ward. We all loaded on a tour bus at 5:45 am to make the trek. We have been doing a couple of different service projects for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Humanitarian Center this summer, We have made 3 quits, made school bags and filledthem with supplies for school kits, and made file folder games. Yesterday we were able to deliver them and also tour the center, it is amazing the things that they provide for people who are in need all over the world!
We were also able to go to temple square while we were there!this was such a great opportunity for all of our young women, I hope that they all had a wonderful experience. I know that I did!

ReplyDeleteI too love the humanitarian efforts of the church. It always gives you a wonderful feeling knowing that you are helping bring comfort, peace, or needed blessings to people.
It is almost as if you get to be, for even a brief moment, one of God's angels.

What a great experience! I hope the Young Women enjoyed themselves and that you were able to experience Temple Square through their eyes seeing it for the first time.
